I am looking to build an I7 comp and was wondering what the best case would be that was between $100-200. I was also wondering if and mid size cases have a removable motherboard tray and if it is worth paying extra for it. I also shop at NCIX.com.

Was looking at this case

and was told the Antec 900 were also good.

I am also thinking of getting an aftermarket cooler and was wondering if I need to worry about it not fitting.

+1 for the HAF932. Can't comment on the other 2 as I haven't used them. Also consider Antec 900/1200.

Also, you seem to be a Canadian (since you didn't link Newegg), so why not check out Newegg Canada? http://www.newegg.ca/

Here's a link to some new Lancool (Lian Li subsidiary) cases over at newegg.ca that caught my eye:

I have a CoolerMaster HAF 932. Ventilation, airflow, and cooling are excellent. The Antec Nine Hundred and the Twelve Hundred are very popular with gamers.

removeable motherboard trays may or may not be a good idea. If you plan on installing one of those tall tower style cpu heatsinks, then it won't work. Those tall cpu heatsinks have to be removed first in order to pull out the tray.

Thanks JohnnyLucky for the motherboard tray info. Greatly appreciated.

You're welcome. You might want to look for one of those motherboard trays that has a large cutout directly under the motherboard where the backplate for the cpu heatsink is attached. Makes it very easy to remove the heatsink and cpu without removing the motherboard.

I just put an i7 system together using an Antec P182 case. I'm quite pleased with this case - it has a separate compartment to hold the hard drives and power supply so that heat from those components doesn't affect the GPU and CPU. I bought it specifically for quiet operation and it's exceeded my expectations because it lets me run all of my fans at the lowest speed and still gives good airflow through the case. There's a review on this page at SilentPCReview.

If you live in Metro Vancouver you might want to drop by Anitec (not "Antec" ) computers in the City on Kingsway at Gladstone. They have a showroom with most of the cases that they sell on display.

Thanks for the info on the cases guys. Great Help

I am also wondering about any after market coolers. What would be good to get? I would be mainly interested in the more silent the better.

Corsair has there new Full tower case coming in Sept. Its already on the egg for pre order, for $279 dollars. It looks like a very good case if its not out of your price range.
