Amd athlon 5200 overclock
Hi i have the same processor and i want to overclock it too and I'm new to overclocking. My small problem is that my maximum ram frequency is 800 mhz can i overclock my processor? If yes someone please help me in how to do it. Cheers.

A little , i managed to get my processor to ~2,98 Ghz but after i play a game for half an hour it gives me a BSOD and I'm pretty sure it's because of the RAM.
In BIOS i have a feature called D.O.T. control witch is an advanced overclocking tool but I'm afraid to use without someones advice.
My processor cooler is this: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/041/scktn3000_detail.html
The first thing that your need know is that your CPU is locked multiplier, that means that you need use the FSB for overclock the CPU BUT changing that settings also change the RAM frequency, NB frequency and HT frequency.
In this case, your BSoD could be because your RAM don't support the frequency that you put on it or by temps. I can't see a cooler in your specs, so, What cooler are you using?
I posted above the link to the cooler
