1100T Stock vs Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

Hi there folks,

today i ordered a Phenom II X6 1100T and i was wondering what would provide better cooling

-the stock cooler that comes in the boxed version

or

-the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro ( that i used with my old CPU, a x2 6400 )


i appreciate any kind information

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

The stock cooler that comes with the CPU is good, but the freezer can give you a little better temps.

But if you want overclock and very good temps, you will need a better cooler.

Yes the Arctic cooler freezer pro 64 will provide better cooling than the stock heatsink but not a whole bunch.
If your planning to O.C. i suggest you get something like a Hyper 212+ or the Xigmatek SD128264 Aegir.The Aegir performs extremely well but the Hyper 212+ can perform well just more at a budget level.

Well i expected no better of that old cooler
