Hi, iv been looking at this memory - Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 XMS2 and Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2

The first one has a latency of 7-7-7-20 and the second 5-5-5-18

I know very little about these things so can someone please tell me whats the difference and which is better as they cost about the same, thanks.

The difference in speed is more profound than the difference in timing.

Go with the first option.

Well, what processor/motherboard do you have (otherwise, what model PC)?

You should make sure that your CPU's bus speed is not bottlenecking your RAM.
