i have a asus m3a78-em motherboard and i was looking thru the bios and there doesn't seem to be any options to undervolt my CPU. the cpu voltage select has auto/+50mv/+100mv etc(not exact values, i can't recall, but you get the idea). so where is the option for me to select a LOWER voltage? does anyone have experience with this motherboard know the answer?

Alot of boards don't allow undervolting, this is an option which was ignored or overlooked by manufacturers. Some boards do have the option.
I shouldn't have said don't allow, it's more like didn't anticpate. They could later make it available through a bios change if all the equipment for voltage regulation is present on the board.
It seems that some manufactures opt for pick a voltage and others opt for add to the voltage.
