I have a 700w power supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817814015 and i want to run two gtx 260's in sli. is that possible with only 700w and would it be a problem using the molex to pci-e adapters on one of the cards?
If your PSU is any good it shouldn't be a problem. Generally, even with an i7 a system with two 260s in SLI should use a bit less than 500W. I don't know who really makes that PSU, and I don't feel like researching it, but as long as it's done decently by someone like FSP it should be O.k.. Google it to see if you can find any reviews of the thing and more info.

yes that powersupply would be able to handle it, its a rare powersupply but it has got great reviews every single time i have the 1100watt version. which is even rarer.
ABS/TAGAN is a german company, they don't themselfs make powersupply units they have a sub comany that makes them to thier specs and design.

i already have 1 gtx 260 i just wanted to know that if i got another one it would work. especially with the molex adapter
It's a close call, but it *should* be OK. My SLI system pulls about 625-650 W under load, but I have 8800Ultra's. Yours will use a bit less, I think. Go for it.
