Overclocking volts

I'm overclocking my 2500k and i've let the cpu volts on auto. I've overclocked to 4.0Ghz and the volts are 1.248 is this good or is it to high?

sometimes it hits 1.256V

Intel's max recommended voltage for the i-K's is 1.52 volts, so you have a lot of room left. I suspect that you will reach thermal problems before you reach max volts.

I left every thing on auto, it only turbo's to 4.0 Ghz. The max volt i've seen with cpu-z is 1.264. I hope this is safe.

Yep, 1.264 is well within safe limits, and so you're fine. As long as your temps are also low enough then your overclock is good to go.

My max temps are around the 55°C and my min temps are around 28°C
