Domain Problem in Windows Environment Tags: LAN Domain Computers Windows Server 2003 Networking Last response: August 27, 2009 11:24 AM in Networking Share rinwan August 27, 2009 10:38:04 AM I am having a network of some 150 computers. One Windows 2003 server is running as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP. I have joined 31 computers to the domain. But then now am not able to join any more. The error message is A domain controller for the domain XXX could not be contacted. Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly If the name is correct, click Details for troubleshhoting information. I can ping the dns server with its name with the domain extensions, but when I try to ping with the name only, it says cannot find host. Any help will highly be appreciated. You may need to temporarily make the primary DNS the Server. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
