I have a hp pavilion a 1332in system with pentium d 2.8ghz cpu,2gb ddr2 533ghz ram,500 watt psu,and motherboard with ati x200 onboard graphics, with 17 inch lcd disply.i brought msi 4850 with stock cooler.when i run GRID in 800x600 resolution it runs perfectly.when i increase the resolution to more than 800x600 the game runs for a few mins then my monitor goes blank and says no input signal.when this happens my cpu and graphic card fans stop rotating but the power switch of my case is still lit.
please tell me what my problem is?
is it because of overheating or is it because i dont have an enough power supply,or is it becoz my motherboard and ram are very old?
the graphic card runs at 58c when idle and at 80c when under load with fan speed at 45%

those temps are a bit high and what res is the 17 inch lcd? i predict overheat cause ur cpu bottlenecks ur game. I'd buy a XBox 36 and get a 720p tv and play games on that.

What are the temp of the cpu?
the temps for the gfx card are not very very high.they are ok.
it may be a power supply issue though.
BTW which brand PSU are you using?

temp of cpu is always in the range of 40c to 45c

Surely Vista sp2 would solve the problem.
