Hello guys Im currently thinking of adding 2 more gigs of ram but I get a better deal If i get 4 gigs instead. Currently Im runnning 2 gigs with 2 sticks. And the new sticks are 2gigs each which would give me 4 gigs. Would mismatching them actually make it slower? The speeds are all the same but its just the SIZE of each stick and the model number is different.

heres from im using currently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034

heres from im THINKING of getting: http://www.frys.com/product/5523110?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

any problems with that?

That RAM should run fine together. They are both 2.1v cas 4-4-4-12 though you may have to set those speeds in BIOS.

I had what you have now on my old Core2Duo E-6600/Gigabye P965 DS3 setup. I have what you are thinking of getting on my current rig. I didnt use them together because I sold the old MB/CPU/RAM and graphics card as a set.
