Hello all, I have one quick question about monitoring my CPU Temperature. While playing games my mobo CPU temp monitor shows it at around a steady 45. But when using RealTemp program, it shows it usually in the mid 50's and spiking up into the 60's. Which one would be more accurate?

My case has 3 intake fans and 3 output fans, and a pretty nice aftermarket CPU cooler, so I'm inclined to believe its on the lower side.

Any input would be great, Thanks!

Real Temp is reading that value off the hardware, its not making it up.

What is your polling interval (5s, 1s, 1m)? It's possible that your CPU spikes up to 60 before your cooling profile kicks-up the fanspeed. If RealTemp is polling faster than the LED display on your motherboard, you might just be missing it.

It's also possible that the LED display on your motherboard is using an on-board heatsensor, thus it's taking its own temperature, not reporting what the CPU is registering. RealTemp will be reporting the heat registered on-die, which will be higher because its actually on the CPU.
