Ever since I installed my second EVGA GTX 275 in SLI my computer has taken longer to load everything. My framerates have been fine, I can now max out crysis at 1680 x 1050 with 45+ FPS (before it was in the 27-32 fps range). Is there any reason that my computer is acting slower than it was before that has to do with SLI?

specs:

core i7 920 @ 3.0GHz
3GB DDR3 ram
2x EVGA GTX 275 SLI'd
ASUS P6T
Corsair 750w
WD 320GB HDD SATA

------------------------------ Intel core i7 920 @ 3.5GHz
ASUS P6T
Corsair 3GB DDR3-1333
(2x) EVGA GTX 275 SLI

Nope, no reason it should be slower at all.

If you are using a 32 bit operating system, you might be running short of memory, especially if you have other add on cards installed and/or several programs that load at startup.

Im on 64bit windows 7...

Certain programs now take 2-3 times as long to load, when I right click to get the menu it takes 3-4 seconds to load that versus almost instantly before.

Also occasionally when i run Wprime I get like 1 second worse than normal (usually it is 8.6 seconds, sometimes the score drops to 9.6 seconds)

maybe you have knocked loose the HDD cable a little bit while installing the card. Happened to me once with pata cable, it still worked but was very slow in reading/writing stuff from/to the drive. Not sure if this could happen with a sata drive, though...

Everything? or just games things that need the card acceleration.

What do you mean "taken longer to load everything"? Load times, ie CoD 4 maps?
Can you give an example?
