I just got an HD digital camcorder. Unfortunately, my laptop seems unable to keep up with it. Even trying to watch videos on Quicktime doesn't really work, as the video skips. Editing videos (I planned to use PowerDirector 7) is therefore impossible because I can't see where to trim clips with all the skipping. The audio, however, is fine.
Do you think this is my graphics card or the CPU?
I'm not very good with computers, but I assume you'll need to know some information about what I'm using before you can help. So please also tell me what you need to know and how to find it. I'm using Vista (yeah, I know).

It is probably your CPU, most laptops don't have DXVA except for the ION, IIRC. What are your specs?
