What size battery backup do i need i have a core i7 2.93 gig w 1 gtx295 1,792 mb vid card 23 inch lcd 500 gig hd and 12 gig ddr3 1600 tripple channel memory 800 watt power supply 4 120 fans dvd burner ? what size battery backup do i need i found a CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series GreenPower UPS CP1000AVRLCD 1000VA 600 Watt 5 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS - Retail for 114.95 is that enough or do i need more

It really depends on how long you want the computer to run on the backup power. If you would just like the system to shut down when the power goes out that is plenty. If you want it to run for longer then I would go with a 1500 watt. I have basically the same system as you and have 1500 watts ups's on mine and I can go for almost 30mn depending on what I am doing. If I am gaming then it is closer to 20mn being the video card load on the system.

Yeah, that one is big enough. It looks like it estimates your run time; if you want more, only then would you need a bigger one (unless that one can take an auxilliary battery; probably can't unless you mod it yourself).
