Omnibook 2100 bios password

I have an omnibook 2100 to repair for a friend it is not stolen and I understand the need not to be publicly giving out information here in there is of utmost importance. however the laptop is old and useless if it was mine I would put it in the bin the person who has asked me to fix it is not in such a position. I have consulted with HP and they are requiring photo ID and proof of ownership. It was from their mother. We have tried every form of password she remembers but has had several laptops since. The HP process is on going but is taking forever.

The usual practice of holding down the ins key and dell at time of boot is not happening and I know you can buy a coding device to help with the hash code. The hash code on this is 11729

IF anybody has a real easy bios fix for this and doesnt want to extort people for a three second process please hlp
