Hey guys this is my first build, before i purchase wondering if this is a good gaming pc build.

Not bad but give this build down below a look. It includes two factory over clocked gtx 275's running in SLI. The WD640 Black HD in this build runs only a hair slower than the Raptors.

It's a good build. Only thing I'd suggest is not going with the high-end raptors if you want to stick to a lower budget. The raptors offer minimal speed increase with a major cost increase. I'd maybe buy a Caviar Black hard drive and then double up your RAM. That would give you a more beneficial speed increase. However, if you access the hard drive a lot (if your a video editor or something) the Raptors are a good choice. My only other suggestion would be to buy a blu-ray drive instead of the old DVD standard. I think it is only a matter of time before PC games start coming out on blu-ray.

Ya, I'm like you in those regards. 1 good card > 2 ok cards. That card gets great reviews.

Ya it is. But since your going with one vid card, you can size down on the case if you want...although that CM HAF is a killer case. Take a look at the "CM Scout" for $94 on sale right now at the egg. It's a newer case to the market. For a PSU you can go with the Corsair 550w or Corsair 650w, but the 750w is massive over kill for that build with one card.
