3d Mark Scrore Advice & Thoughts

Well, I successfully built a computer for the first time.....and ran 3dMark for the first time (because, you know, that's what the cool dudes do....).

I got a score of P20635

I don't really know what that means..... Is that score good, okey-dokey, or poor?

Q9650
8gb Ram
GTX 295

That's an above average score for what most users can score. I only got 18,200 with an e8400 and GTX 260 both OC'd.

But for your components you got an average score. Did you overclock the CPU and GPC and did you set the Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings for Performance versus Quality?

Assuming those are test results from 3dMark06 you're doing just fine. That's a pretty good score.

I have a Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz and a GTX 260 and don't score that high. Wish I could, but I can't.

You probably don't need the 8GB of RAM you have, but it probably doesn't hurt either.

Having a 'P' in front of the number would suggest it's a Vantage score.

I looked at the results in Futuremark and you would be at the top of the charts!
