I just ordered 4gb of G.Skill DDR3 1600 (2 x 2gb) memory and was wondering which DIMM slots do I put them in on the Asus Crosshair III Formula AM3 mobo. The slots go in order of A1,B1,A2,B2. Do I do: A1A2,A1B1,B1B2 or A2B2? Or does it even matter.. I'm farely new at building computers but I've done it before, the memory thing just kinda confuses me sometimes.

Read the MB manual uner 'RAM installation'. It's all there and with illustration.
I read Manual a couple times..It actually didn't say that much..But I think I got it now.. I'm pretty sure you can do either A1A2 or B1B2 like dndhatcher said

RAM is not released for specific MB's. So, the MB manual will give specific setup instructions for RAM installed in the specific MB it is written for. Every MB manual I have has graphical illustration as well as a detailed description of RAM configuration. Where else would you get the information for RAM configuration for the ASUS MB you have? The manual is the logical place to find the board's RAM configuration. The MB manual didn't say much much? K.

Lighten up badge. Most motherboard manuals are written in broken engrish and can be hard to interpret if you arent very experienced with PC assembly.
The ASUS MB manual has no language interpretation problem. OP was 'hurt' because of being told 'twice' to read the manual. Lightening up is not the problem with advice to OP at this point. BTW, do you own the MB or just an ASUS as were just guessing? OP doesn't seem sure with you instructions.

Page 2-15 and 2-16 of the MB manual. The illustration explaining the channels and memory configuration are there in English. There is no chance of language confusion. User confusion, but no language confusion. To state the manual 'doesn't say much' is incorrect. Both of you go to jail and do not collect 200 Pecos.
Edit for spanish language insertion.

I'm different. Right before I built my foist time machine, I sat down and read the manual cover to cover. When I took the MB out of the box, I knew everything about it and right where everything went and how it woiked just like the manual had described. Facha!

I would post it, but apparently ASUS has prevented that maneuver. It' here if you care to drop over and check my Adobe reader. I hear the doorbell, must be the girls from the escort soives.

You should buy yourself one of those nice big LEGO spaceship sets for XMAS. Huge instruction manual for you to memorize before beginning assembly. Have fun!
And BTW I was just guessing (educated guessing based on a fair amount of past experience).

Legoland. They have a store. I'll, take it to Best Buy and have them make me a backup disk if I buy the portable version.
OP I hope I didn't make you feel bad. Take the women's lingerie off your head and follow dndhatcher' instructions.
