I'll post some build in a few minutes. To be honest, if you're not OCing I I'm not sure I'd get get a Core i7... it OCs like a nobody's business, but it comes stock at 2.66 so you lose quite a bit of value.

You will probably be better off buying from Newegg.com if you live in the States, their shipping is cheap, unless you have an inside line at the computer stop... anyways.
Core i7 Build: Core i7 920 - $280-$300 6GB OCZ Platinum - $80-$100 Gigabyte X58 $200-$250, ASUS X58 $220-$275 Case: Antec 900 - $80-$100 Solid 700W-800W PSU: $120, look at PCPaC or Corsair GPU: HD4870 1GB:$180-$200, GTX260 core 216 $200-$220 $950-$1100, depends on how good your store is.
$900-$1050, for a DDR2 system knock maybe $100 off for cheaper motherboard, RAM, and drop down to a Phenom II 940, since you don't need the extra OC headroom.

By "solid", I meant as an adjective; a "decent, reliable" power supply. I would recommend *strongly* against getting a C2D at this point in the game; if you've made up your mind, why did you ask for advice? Just to stick our advice in our faces?

No, You are thinking wrong.
Core i7 Build too expensive for me. I would like to a bit cheap. Local store don't sell Solid PSUs, Antec cases.
Maybe you are in America or Canada or anywhere like this. I can't ship from newegg. Because of I'm in Europe. X58 Mobo and the other parts is expensive.
I started this thread and contunied searching and I found good parts. If I was in America or Canada or England I can buy like this, but in Europe it is too hard.
Give us a budget in pounds and we could try and put something together from European websites. Again, 'solid' isn't a brand, look for Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, or OCZ. Also, don't buy a C2D, buy a Phenom II Quad, they're about the same price.
