P5kpl-am/ps motherboard problem

Hi my new motherboard will not power up, on start the PSU fan momentarily spins and the imbeded motherboard led comes on with no other sign of life. Ive checked all hardware on another motherboard and all works ok. any ideas?

SO you have the 24 pin connector AND the 4 or 8 pins securelt fastened to the mobo right. They must connected and latched. Is the Ram in the right slots, try it with only one. Is there a power connector on your video card, double check that connection. I the cpu fan connectred and in the right header? Just a few things to try, good luck.
