Hello,
My husband had build our son a computer .. my husband passed away unexpectantly 3 months ago and now the computer is giving me the message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

I have no CD's for this computer as he worked at a nuclear plant and he had left all of his computer stuff at work. I am unable to get any of it.
Is there some way I can fix this problem? ..

How do I determine what components the computer has to be more helpful in letting you know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for taking the time to help me.

When turn on the PC, press F12 or del...or try with all keys till a blue screen like this http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Abit/AA8XE/images/bios.jpg is showed.

After this, go to Advance BIOS options and if the screen show something like this: http://www.computerhope.com/help/bios5.gif , in FIRST BOOT DEVICE press enter and select HDD.

If the screen that I said up isn't showed, in Advance BIOS options, look for something that say "BOOT SEQUENCE", or sometime like this:

http://img.neoseeker.com/v_image.php?articleid=1946&image=1 and after http://img.neoseeker.com/v_image.php?articleid=1946&image=2 and in first boot devide select HDD.

After this, in the down part of the screen exist some options. Look for the option that say "SAVE and EXIT", usually is F10.

The system reboot by him self.
