Hi,

After 5 full years i can afford a new pc from the old but lovely amd athlon 64.

Its only an upgrade of Processor , ram , Mobo . And i really want a Phenom II 955 BE and 4 GB DDR3 . But I really dont know if I have to choose or will have the money to buy a Graphics card and a Mobo at the same time with the remaining cash. Or just buy a costlier mobo with good onboard graphics cards.

I play games like Fifa 2009, Counterstrike Source , DMC 4 , Crysis, JB :quantum of solace. I dont play games with very graphics requirements, but i want the games above to work in very high settings.

My question is should i buy a cheaper Crossfire Mobo(So i can buy another 4770 later) and a 1 decent 4770 ? . Or just use the costlier Mobo with onboard graphics card? BUT, All UNDER 400 $.
Possible? Please help i cant afford another PC for maybe another 5 years so i dont want to make a mistake.

BTW I use a 17' LCD. 1440 pix max resolution. And A little bit of overclocking.

Didn't check but i guess if this mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813157161
support 955
then this combo works out just under 400

It's good ram the cas timing and frequency ratings are at 1.8v should have no problems with it.

Else you are looking at 430 450 to fit in a quality mobo with onboard graphics that support DDR3

lol... for under $400, and to get crysis running at very high settings (even over 20 fps), id like to see u do it... would be epic

but yeah.... u need to go amd... best price/performance at this range, and at most ranges really...
