Why does dishnet compete with its partners?

I have been trying to get Dish net installed for about 2 weeks now. SBC has
been horrible as far as providing bad info and mis info and finally had to
admit that they cannot provide me with a HD-DVR nor the VOOM channels. I
can only get those by going directly to Dish. IF SBC and Dish are partners
why not make all the services and products available?

I am not happy about having to be a dish customer again. I got burned for
about $1500 in 96 when in July I purchased a system to become a dish net
customer, the end of Aug. the same year they started advertising systems
directly from Dishnet for $299. I called and complained and the only
compensation I was given was a free subscription to Showtime for 3 months.
I had set installation up for VOOM but they are unfortunately out of
business, and the only way to see the VOOM HD channels is to go back to Dish
net and although I'm not a big fan of them, I will in order to see the VOOM
channels. Just wanted to get that off my chest.
