Gaming budget build $850.

Alright, So I'm doing a budget build and I'm trying to get it as close to $800 CAD as I can. The rig needs to be Intel/nVidia. I will be doing a slight overclock, and won't be using multiple cards.

What I put together

Antec 300 - $63.49
OCZ Fatal1ty 550w - $90.49
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 - $139.99
ASUS P5QL PRO - $114.99
G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 1066 - $69.49
ZALMAN CNPS 8700 NT - $59.49
EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 - $214.99
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB - $79.99
LG Black 22X DVD+R - $30.99

Current total: $863.91
After rebates: $813.91

Still unsure on the mobo, reviews says its flimsy and such. Any suggestions to bring the cost below $800 without losing performance? I'm also pretty deadset on the Zalman 8700 for the fact that its smaller, round, and facing the window I'll be putting into the Antec 300.

More about gaming budget build
  1. i would personally swap the zalman for a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7, saving yourself another $13, making you $50 under budget and use that extra bit of cash and upgrade the 260 to 4890 seeing as you are looking to only use a single gfx card
  2. GTX 260/ZALMAN 8700: $214.99 + $59.49 - $25.00 = $249.48
    HIS 4890/AC CF7: $259.99 + $46.49 = 306.48

I want to keep close as possible to $800 or less. This is a budget build I'm doing for my brothers birthday, and instead of possibly messing up a i7 920 rig.. I can get him something nice since I was planning to anyways, This will just be my temporary rig for a few months.
