I think you're overestimating how much power you need, as most people do. A *DECENT* 500W PSU would do you good, maybe stepping up to 550W. However, if you do want to upgrade in the near future, or do some heavy overclocking, then your current choice is a good one.

However, I will say that the PSU you've allready chosen is not a bad choice.

No need of your PSU, as long as you are not OCing and Upgrading that system. CX500 or any decent 500W PSU will be fine. Recommended brands are: Corsair, Antec and OCz.

I would stick with this antec power supply, since it's on sale. the CX500 is a decent PSU but only slightly cheaper than this one right now.

Although I agree you don't need more than 500-550 watts anyways.

Based on the reviews that their other HCG PSU's get it is good.

LOL Oh right... I don't see the price. I thought it was above $80 before. But I think newegg is giving discount now and the price is really good.
