Hardisk booting problem

i have 2 hard disk 1 is with win 7 and other is with win xp my system is not booting win 7 hard disk and win xp start instead of win xp but when i change the connection of sata cable to mother board its start bootin win 7 hd its remains for some days and the same problem occurs again its theres a fault in hard disk or in software

Is the computer dual boot? Which OS do you boot most often? In the BIOS select the drive with preferred OS as 1st in the boot sequence. If you need to boot with other OS, then you need to hit one of the function Fn key to select the drive from qwhich you want to boot. On my Asus board is F8.
