CPU voltage in Everest weird?

My CPU is a Core 2 Duo e7400, 2.8 ghz, not overclocked and when i go to everest home edition and go to sensor it shows the CPU Core voltage to be 2.27 V. My knowledge has told me that CPUs should not go above 1.5V. I might just be looking at the wrong thing, but i was just wondering if that is correct. Im not overclocking, this is a self built computer, and im just curious about the voltage readings.

CPU temp is normal(idle at 34 C)
System is stable, no crashes, no lag

im sorry, this was a mistake on my part. The bios recognizes it as 1.25 V, so its fine.
