Alright so I want to build a new gaming computer. But currently I am torn between two options one is a barbone kit from tiger direct that is lacking a video card. The other is a computer I have designed completely myself. Any suggestions on performance for price on either and any suggestions for other parts would be great.

My design

Antec 900 II case

Intel core i7 920 processor

Mother board either P6T

Or

P6T Deluxe V2

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Produ [...] 9(ME).aspx

Muskin XP3 DDR3 Extreme memory

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Produ [...] 1(ME).aspx

Western Digital Caviar Black 640 gb

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Produ [...] 7(ME).aspx

XFX 4890

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Produ [...] 2(ME).aspx

Corsair 620 watt modular PSU

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Produ [...] 6(ME).aspx

Thats my design

Now these are the other two contenders

or

In either of the barebones I plan to put the XFX 4890

My budget would be about $1500 with room to go up for more performance

The resolution would be 1920x1200

So any help with this descion would be helpful.

12 gig of ram is insane , and doesnt give any benefit for gaming so those barebones kits are rubbish .

Buy your own .

Ya I do think the 12 gigs is alot of overkill and I like the case I picked better
