I have a hewlet packard s5653uk computer and have a sata hard drive from a bust laptop.
I want to connect the hard drive and run linux on it. how do i connect the laptop hard drive and what connectors do i need?

You should be able to use a standard SATA cable from one of your unused SATA ports on the motherboard. I am not sure about the power connection of the laptop hard drive, and your PSU. You may need an adapter (MOLEX to SATA) for that
