Sometimes when I boot with XP Realtemp,HWmonitor,Task manager sees only one Core and One thread!

I Don't understand what the problem is.Maybe this pic helps.

(I am new to pic uploading ,if you can't see the pic or any other problem pls advice me)

Any kind of help is Appreciated.
(I get this single core problem randomly. It may happen the next time using win XP or might happen after a week or so  )

Have you tried setting the core count via msconfig?

How to do that?
Is it the No. of processors (In advanced boot options)?

BTW this problem does not happens always.
Sometimes It boots normally(Like 2 cores 2 threads) and sometimes it boots with 1 core .

The Coretemp names the processor as "Genuine Intel Processor".

Though it does not affect performance But when this happens temps are a bit high.

Yes, try that first as it sounds like it's just a dodgy install.
