Hi,

I am new here and was hoping to get some answers to my problem.
During first boot my system totally locks up at the screen where it says press ESC or DEL to go to setup. After I reboot it it works fine the rest of the day no matter how many reboots I do. It only locks on first bootup or after the system has been off for a few hours.
I did reseat the video card and memory sticks, also the cables going to and from the hard drive.

I have a core 2 quad Q9400 OC to 3.0 Temps run a cool 43c while playing games.
Nvidia 680i LT mobo
4gb 800mhz ram
550 PSU500gb Western D GD
Vista 32 bit home premium
GTS 250 1gb video card


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hello Maligar! welcome to the forums :)

ive had a similar problem like this, try running your system at stock clocks and see if that fixes the problem.

Resetting the OC back to factory solved the problem. I only lose .3ghz which I don't notice. Thanks for your help Rambo117.
