Win 7 bios question

I am running a Asus P5Q deluxe (socket 775) MB. With an intel Q9450 Cpu. I am also running Win XP sp3 and Win 7 pro in a dual boot Configuration. My question is, if I update my bios, running bios 803, or 807, can't remember. If I do update my bios to one that is Win 7 compatible, will it affect the xp side of the house?

Thanks in advance.

BIOS versions are not based on OS compatibility. The MB uses the same BIOS to operate any OS system installed.

+1. Your motherboard's BIOS is operating system independent. Windows 2000, Ubuntu Linux, and Windows 7 are all just as "compatible". Board vendors will sometimes quote better OS compatibility when releasing updates, but it's pure crap.
