Win 7 bios question
Last response: in Windows 7
I am running a Asus P5Q deluxe (socket 775) MB. With an intel Q9450 Cpu. I am also running Win XP sp3 and Win 7 pro in a dual boot Configuration. My question is, if I update my bios, running bios 803, or 807, can't remember. If I do update my bios to one that is Win 7 compatible, will it affect the xp side of the house?

BIOS versions are not based on OS compatibility. The MB uses the same BIOS to operate any OS system installed.+1. Your motherboard's BIOS is operating system independent. Windows 2000, Ubuntu Linux, and Windows 7 are all just as "compatible". Board vendors will sometimes quote better OS compatibility when releasing updates, but it's pure crap.
