SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
Hi I put 2 x DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400 (399 MHz) - [DDR2-800] in my pc windows professional - before I had 512 - and the system only recognize half (960 + 64 Video). My MB Asus P5VDC-MX. Any ideia? TIA Joseph
How many memory slots on the motherboard? 4? Did you put the RAM right next to each other? If so, if the slots were numbered 0, 1, 2, 3, put the RAM in slots 0, and 2. Otherwise I suspect some strange dual-channel setting in the BIOS.
Thanks. 4 slots as you can see http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Wv3U3hfa7ZbODqSr I put memory in the yellow slots - DDR2 My MB doesn't recognize them as 1Gb but only 512 each, so i have only 1 gb now, instead of 2Gb TIA.
Are the modules single sided (8 chips) or dual sided (16 chips)? As per the QVL, that motherboard requires dual sided 1 GB modules.
Thanks for your help! I think you are right, now I just need to swap ... J.
