Hello,

I did my OC'ed my CPU in the bios with an automatic OC setting, it was called turbo oc or something like that, I chose the setting 4.4GHz. I ran prime95 for 6 and a half hours with no errors, intel burn test 20 times on high, no errors.
I also ran memtest86 and no errors.
When it is idle my temps are 20-30, when it is in 4.4GHz mode it is at 30-40

My specs:
ASRock P67 Extreme4
i5 2500k
Antec EarthWatts 650w
Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Cooler Master HAF 922
XFX Radeon 6950 2GB unlocked shaders OCed to 881MHz, 1250 memory
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8Gb
Western Digital 1TB 7200 6.0G/s

Should I keep running my system like this?
Thanks

I am checking them with CPUID Hard Ware Monitor, sorry I read them wrong, yesterday our furnace broke so It was cold. Idle temps are around 25-30 and OC is around 40-50

I was just curious is that If using the setting to oc was okay?

Thanks

Ya I played Crysis 2 Max settings Shogun 2 max, and a couple others and the temps stay at a good level

The max heat these chips can tolerate without risking damage is 62C. However, instability and crashes can be caused all the way back into the 50-55C range.
Amd chips do not like a lot of voltage and heat under high clockspeeds.
I always believe finding the max stable ram and NB clock before OCing the CPU cores.

AMD? 62c? LOL

Send me some of whatever your smoking. :pt1cable:

That's still very low, nice. Try Coretemp and compare with CPUID HW Monitor.

GeekApproved, 62c is still fine lold. My Athlon which i have clocked at 3.54Ghz reaches between 60c-64c during during OCCT stress testing, and it passed 24 Hours of it. That was last year June and its still running fine today.

Did I say it wasn't? Do you even know what this thread is about??? :hello:

The guy that started this thread is talking about a INTEL 2500K

NOT A AMD. PLEASE LAY OFF THE DRUGS.

EDIT: opened my eye's and noticed i was being a idiot
