I have not been able to find any articles announcing a release date. In the meantime, Corsair has released their Performance 3 ssd's. They are available at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100008120%2050001459%20600038519%20600038463&IsNodeId=1&name=Corsair Corsair was expected to be the first generation 3 ssd's available to consumers. Other brands are expected to be released between next month and May. Upvote 0 Downvote

Looks like Intel will be introducing two lines of ssd's - the SATA II 310 which is the updated version of their current ssd's and the SATA III 510. The 510 looks promising. Upvote 0 Downvote
