I'm not sure yet about the video card, was thinking of getting a 4770 and getting another for crossfiring when i get the money, or a 4850.
Also, if i am going to only slightly overclock my CPU (to about 3.0 GHZ) do i really need a new cooler? Or will the stock be fine?
and if anyone have a good recommendation for a DVD burner/reader it would be much appreciated
For 3ghz the stock will be fine, but I'd recommend getting a aftermarket cooler and pumping her to 3.5ghz.
I'd also recommend a hdd with 32mb of cache. Everything else looks great.
Id recommend the 4890 or wait for the new 40nm cards (faster than the 4770), that way you wouldnt need to crossfire for a while. What size monitor and what resolution?
also, i don't think i really need that case + PSU (was kind of getting it for future builds as well)
would this be a good enough PSU+ case for my build (assuming i get a 4850 or maybe 4870 video card)

OK, here's your build. This build is pretty much what you originally posted for the most part. This build down below allows you to add another 4770 later on for Crossfire if you so choose. This psu is not only modular, but it meets ATI's requirements for the 4770 in Crossfire. This build also allows you to over clock.
No the 430w Antec or the 400w corsair someone else linked is not good enough even for a single card, maybe the 4770 because its only 80w, but I'd get something good enough for sli right off the bat.
Yeah I'd skip the 4770 though, its pretty weak. If you went for a better card you would not have to crossfire so soon. It sits right between the 4830 and 4850.c
