Hi,

I have a budget of 1000$, maybe more for a new computer. I don't know exatly my needs because some games I want to run aren't out yet. Keep in mind that I'm not a big FPS fan, I played COD4 (and enjoyed it) until my PS3 blowed up. =( Unfortunately, I don't have much time for that and I'll probably running the coming SC2 & DIII which seem to require a good freaky system.

I was thinking at a phenom II x2 550 BE because it has a high stock clock and it's easy to O/C. It's not really expensive too (like 350-450$ CPU/mobo/RAM). I think that I am better to invest the big part of my budget into the Graphic card but I don't have any idea yet of what is the actual best performance/price graphic card. I want a monitor of 21' to 23' 1920*1200 or just 1920*1080 maybe. I want to eventually make it run 1080p games/movies if it doesn't blow up my budget.

If it's not clear for you, just give me some good gaming graphic card model so I can make some research and look at some benchmark to make my own idea.

If your interested in the Phenom II X2 550 BE there is a great deal right now on that CPU and a motherboard. It does use DD2 memory however rather than DDR3.

This CPU + Motherboard + 4 gigabytes of RAM would be around $200.You might to spend some extra money on an aftermarket heatsink and fan though.

I would hold off until the ATI Radeon 5800 series cards come out soon.
