EXTERNAL HDD

HI,
i had recently purchased a transcend usb 3.0 external HDD. after checking out the data transfer speeds i find its speed the same thats for all normal external HDD. This is its model no.TS500GSJ25D3. The speed does not increase even after formating it to ntfs file system!!!! is there any way i can make it run in its rated speed???? also tried working with its own software!!!!!!

Does your computer have a USB 3.0 port?

Connecting a USB 3.0 device to a USB 2.0 port will work but run at the slower USB 2.0 speeds.
