this may be a stupid question, but being somewhat of a novice, i fitted an extra 512 pc2100 ram into my system. well it was a mistake because what is in there already is 2g 3200 ram....my question is, what is the 2100, 3200 part of what and my system seems to be running ok...will i do any damage?

The 2100 and 3200 are the peak rate of transfer in MB/s for that stick of RAM.

This likely won't harm your computer but the system will reduce the speed of your 2 GB's of pc3200 down to pc2100 speed.

You're better off without the pc2100 being there.
