Yes..it sounds stupid, but I can't "()/#)"(/# do it for some reason. It's like the disks are too small, but they're completely standard sized 3.5" drives.

Maybe the screws are too short if you look at it that way..are you supposed to use the screws that are already in the mounting bays?

I dont know how to explain it, Im too mad to try anyway!

Like many modern cases, this one is designed so you do NOT mount the drive directly into the metal drive cage - that's the removable box at the bottom. Instead you first have to attach a pair of plastic bars to each drive, with metal spring tabs towards the back (connector) edge of the drive. The screws are short because they just fasten each bar to the drive's side. Then the unit slides into one of the slots of the drive cage. This makes for easy insertion and removal when you want to change things later.
