windows xp 32bit looking at upgrading my laptops vista to 64 bit and swapping vista to my comp xp to my laptop
ok so basiclaly im looking for a new motherboard and cpu but i dont want it to cost a fortune pref $400-600 that will make my computer peform better
I would go with the x58 since you have 800wat psu so you can add another graphic card in future. also if you would get this dont forget to back up all your data. you will have to format the hard drive when you replace the internals because there will be old drivers on the hard drive and the windows will not boot at all.
Link is broken, even without the period. Anyways, both the Ph2 720 and 940 are better than the e8500, even in most dual-core games. None of them will be a bottleneck until more quad-threaded games hit the market, then the C2D *may* become one.
If u can find a motherboard from http://umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=2 that would be the best to run with one of those cpu and a gtx260 im no getting anotht thinking abouter graphics card in the next yr cause it wont be needed i dont think. but if theres room for thought thats good
