Is it posable to use a dvd rw insted of a hard drive

hi i was just wondering if its possable to use a dvd rw and a black dvd insted of a hard drive ??
my hard drive it buggered and was needing something that work work for a few weeks till i got a new one

No.
It
would
be
very
slow

even if you could make it work. And the fact that it's rewritable doesn't mean that you can modify files on the fly like a hard drive; you have to erase the disk to rewrite.

If you really, really want to run off a DVD, read about "Live CD" or "Windows PE builder." But you would need a running system to make one of those.
