Alrite, I had a friend of mine build this system for me about mid-march. Everything had been running perfectly until last weekend, while playing plants vs. zombies on steam and I randomly got the blue screen of death. Everything had been fine again until a couple of minutes ago the same thing happened while browsing the web.

My Specs are:
Intel i7 920
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 gig
Corsair Dominator 3 gig DDR3 memory
Gigabyte EX58-UD5 motherboard
Seagate 7200 RPM 500 gig

I'm pretty sure all my drivers are up to date, so what could the problem be?

PSU?
Is it overclocked at all?

Temps?

My PSU is a 650w, so idt thats the problem
I don't OC because i'm too afraid
and while I don't take temps, the air both times was only lukewarm, not enough to crash it rite?

Download Coretemp and Prime95 (google them) and run them both. Look for error messages and temps over 60C.

I agree with smithereen. Feeling the air coming off the CPU heatsink is not always a reliable test. Another good tool is HWMonitor from CPUID at www.cpuid.com
