Hello,

Im new and I am building my first gaming pc.

It's a Antec Sonata lll 500 case, Ati Radeon HD 4870, Intel core 2 duo e8400, 4gb Gskill ram, Gigabyte Ep45-Ud3r motherboard.

Now I've put everything together but when I press the power button I only see a blue led on the front case and I hear absolutely nothing. No power supply fan, nothing.. It's like its not even on...But I am getting a blue LED on the front?

This should mean that the motherboard is getting power, right?? Why is this happening?



Please help, I really want to get this to work. So please it is highly apreciated!

Do you have both the 24 pin and 8 pin power cables connected to the MB?

Also, can you be more specifc about the Gskill Ram.

Have you gone through the checklist at the top of the forum? Its the sticky that says *Read before posting about boot problems*

make sure you have the case pins on the motherboard correctly make sure all yhe cables are secure cd. hd
just use the least amout of stuff for now 1 hd 1cd 1memory video card make sure motherboard screws aren't
to tight will cuase it to short check cpu heatsink make sure its connect tight
