I used this page to help me understand overclock, as I am new to this:

http://overclockhowto.com/cpu/how-to-overclock-an-amd-cpu/

I watched all three videos.

I have the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

And

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

And

ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO Motherboard

So, my question is, with the black edition, do I change the multiplier and Vcore only?? I was unsure about this, because in the video he says to just use the multiplier and then he proceeds to describing how to overclock without the black edition.

So would I change the other options such as he did? Or just the multiplier and vcore?

Multiplier and vcore are pretty much All you need to change with a black edition processor, it's really that easy.

EDIT: I managed to get to 4.2GHz @ 1.475v but I was concerned with EDIT: Temperatures so I took it down, but now I'm running a i7 2600.

Depending on your motherboard, you can change a host of options. I have the 955 as well and mine runs with a multiplier of 15, clock of 240 and no voltage modifications. This nets me 3.6GHz and raises my RAM from 1333 at stock processor speed to the rated 1600mhz. I have the ASUS M4A79XTD EVO board and it's rock solid.
