i believe u need at least 450W psu with a min ~24 amps on the 12v rail. anyway, 450W is pretty low for today's standard. u should really think about gettin new psu, and get some quality brand, like corsair, enermax, antec etc.

What do you beleive - the manufacturer's website or the product box?
Seems very strange both that box would say 20 few processers but also 150w more required for minumum system requirement. Some wires are crossed somewhere. Maybe you should contact the manufacturer.

Even a low power 9800GT won't run reliably on a Mercury SMPS.
Its low quality junk.

Get a better SMPS or risk your pc on it.

If you want something cheap as PSU upgrade then consider these ones:
VIP Silver 500w --Rs 1800
Gigabyte Superb 460W- Rs 2000

Or the ideal one:

Corsair 400w(CX400)-Rs 3100
(I have this one with 9800GT)

I used to connect only one 80 gb hard disc while playing games.the requires about 6-9 amps to run .isn't that enough.i would also dissconnect the dvd drive too.
MINE DOES NOT HAVE A 6-PIN POWER CONNECTOR.SO I COULD NOT FIND THE EXACT SPECS IN ANY OFFICIAL SITE
