I have an HP Pavilion that I just got, and I wanted to get a Black Magic Intensity Pro capture card.

But I'm looking at it. And I'm pretty sure the card is too wide to fit in my slim computer. What should I do? I know my computer could handle it, and there is no other card I can use to do what the Intensity Pro can.

buy a bigger case but im sure that would cancel your warranty.

Happened to my friend that wanted to game...

And the card didn't fit in their neighter... the sorry thing about that is that the guys double check with the sales person that any card would fit in the case....

So many lies from these sales person...

Next time buy a standard computer at a local store, you'll get less trouble and what you want in it...

might be little more expensive but worth all the money..

You could sell the hp (prolly crap) to someone who need for desktop and buy another one instead

Trouble is that even if you buy a new case, the motherboard might be a non-standard format (would have to check).

Well first off. Don't talk bad about HP. Every computer I've own has been HP and they never let me down. This is just a matter of size.

I probably can't replace the case, since the entire thing is meant to be a small computer...

Is there anyway I can find out the size of the card? Because right now I'm just speculating that it won't fit.

So my only other option is to return the computer, and wait until I have the money to buy a bigger model.

Which HP do you have?
It should fit. Just make sure is has a PCI-E slot on the mobo.
