APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 3-4 Weeks BUDGET RANGE: $800-1100
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, movies (I torrent EVERYTHING!), web browsing.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, monitor, speakers, mouse

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg and tiger direct
PARTS PREFERENCES: The Phenom II series seems to be a real bang for the buck in this price range

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Whatever's most efficient for the money spent fps wise

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200 (I use a Samsung T240)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: A window would be nice (all my accessories are blue backlit) but not absolutely needed. If I feel the need for bling in the future, I can always upgrade -- but I do like showing off my system. I primarily play CS:S and WoW, and max graphics on both while retaining great framerate would be premier.

Thanks ahead!

Chose AM3/AM2+ because theres not much more you can get out of ddr3 over ddr2, the boards run around the same specs am3/am2+ vs. am3.

DDR2 1200 could be available aswell to this build

If needed vista 64-bit, you can get it in a combo with the hdd.

Not to sure on the 750tx but, it opens the crossfire window for you.

Phenom II 940 BE

ASUS 980a SLI chipset

2x2 GB G. Skill DDR2-1100

XFX GeForce GTX 260 Core Edition

WD Caviar Black 640 GB

PCP & C Silencer 750

Antec Three Hundred

Samsung DVD-RW

Should come out to ~$900 including shipping. This is what I'd build for myself if I had the cash at the moment.

i'm gonna side with fullmetall. that build is spot-on for the budget range.
