Converting mac wep passphrase for pc

Hi,
I have a wep passphrase that works great on my mac and now I need to convert it to the appropriate code for a pc. Anybody know how to do this?

When you use WEP in your router it gives you the option of applying the alphanumeric passphrase OR the HEX code to the computer's wireless adapter.

Where mixed brands are involved (and perhaps especially with Mac) you need to apply the HEX code -- because the way different brands convert alphanumeric to HEX can be different.

Frankly, who needs it ! I'd see if you can use WPA, it's simpler and more secure.
