Hi everyone,,
so my friend just got a new old vga from his friend, its a 256 mb geforce 8600 gt.
It was fine,, but yesterday when i played the sims 3 on his rig the picture suddenly "shattered"
It was like dead pixels all over,, then it just stop,, i cant even move the mouse, so i hit the reset button, and after that windows won't even start (just a black screen after the windows loading screen)...
so.. can anyone help?

Try starting in Safe Mode. If you can, you may have driver problems.

Could be the card has gone bad, it happens.
Try the Safe Mode startup as suggested by Jsc, it may just be a driver problem.
